Each exquisite, unique piece of Cumbria Crystal is handled by at least 9 artisans and takes a minimum of 14 days to produce. Designed in classic Georgian style, our exclusive, archive, Grasmere champagne saucers are made using full lead English crystal at one of the last remaining factories in England.
Originated in 1676 by English glassmaker, George Ravenscroft, lead crystal contains at least 30% lead for a brilliant, sparkling finish which is then lavishly adorned with light-refracting, intricately hand cut detail to create each magnificent piece.
The complex design of each hand cut saucer includes flute, mitre, diamond and thumbprint cuts, requiring the entire team of expert cutters to produce each piece. Supplied as a set of two, each fabulous saucer measures a decadent 13cm high x 12cm diameter and should be carefully handled and hand washed after use. Store upright to avoid damaging the delicate rims.
